Zhiing is the latest tool for sending addresses and directions in the digital age. In the words of the team behind it, “Zhiing connects people-to-people, people-to-places and people-to-services with dynamic maps and turn-by-turn driving directions”.

The main selling point of Zhiing is that you don’t have to belong to any social network in order to use it– rather, you can send directions to anybody on the fly.



The site includes a link for downloading Zhiing either to your computer or to your mobile device. Once installed, Zhiing recognizes your addresses and from that point onwards all you have to do is click on the Zhiing icon and send the addresses to your intended recipients.

When you send a message using Zhiing, the other person not only receives a text message (which incidentally has more characters than a standard SMS), but also a dynamic map that showcases directions and the intended reunion point.

This service is actually provided free of charge, and a nice touch is that even mobile devices which are not supported yet will be able to receive SMS messages with concise directions if they reply to a Zhiing with their actual location.
