A new iPhone app that has some points of contacts with IdeaMix, Wander lets people interact with their surroundings in a photographic way. Users of Wander take part of photo missions that are actually assigned to them by local guides from around the globe – Wander is an application which is mostly meant to be used by people who are traveling through new cities. It’s supposed to let travelers see the world through other people’s eyes, and make new friends in the process.
Those who download and launch the application (App Store link) are matched with guides in these cities that they want to get to know better. These guides begin assigning daily missions to them, and by taking the relevant snaps with their iPhones users will prove they have accomplished them.
Missions can revolve around everything from photographing a famous monument to having something to eat at a well-known venue, and a live map is always provided for users to find their way with the assistance of their guides. The idea is to let everybody have fun, get to know new places and become friends with foreign people in a way that is as safe as it is good fun.
