Truphone.com - Voip Calls Over iPhone
The cell phone carriers can't like this idea. Truphone.
com is offering a way to make Voip calls through WiFi internet rather than making calls from the SIM card on the iPhone. The site is still working out the kinks, as of now it is difficult to switch back and forth from the SIM card to the WiFi Voip platform to make calls. Truphone says soon they will work this out and it will be very convenient to switch between the two, and when this happens, watch out. This will drastically reduce the amount of money on people's phone bills, everybody with an iPhone will want this service to save money. Not will users be able to make phonecalls with this technology, but text messages as well.

Why Truphone.com might be a killer
If Truphone can make this easy to use then they will clearly garner tons of usership from iPhone owners looking to save a few bucks. The entry level programs are very affordable and will clearly still afford its users to make a large savings versus making traditional calls.
Some questions about Truphone.com
Will the company get the technology to work correctly so there are seamless changeovers from SIM card to Voip? If they can't get it to work perfectly people may avoid using the service.
