Shifd.com - Mobile and Computer Synching Application

    shifd

How often do you think that if you could better share information between your mobile phone and computer, your life would run more efficiently? If you could just read those documents on your cell on the way to work, or be able to remember the name of that restaurant by texting a reminder to your computer? ShifD wants to bring these worlds together. On one end, ShifD knows that if you send an SMS to your computer or email, it easily gets lost in your inbox. ShifD stores and organizes this information into notes, places, and links. On the other hand, you can easily send a link or other information from your PC to mobile phone via ShifD’s website. Moreover, there is a downloadable desktop application for more personalization, as well as a mobile website to add extra content to your cellular phone.

    In their own words

“ShifD is a mobile application that provides users the capability to seamlessly shift content back and forth between their desktop computers and mobile devices.”

Why it might be a killer

ShifD is a logical application that is well-organized and simple to use. In short, it makes life more manageable. Plus, it was developed by The New York Times digital lab, so even if components of the application exist elsewhere in cyberspace, expect it to get some press.

    Some questions

Will it include an email function in the future?
