The Mscape Project enables users to socially interact, share digital location oriented images and audio interaction, all from your mobile. What is most exciting about this service is that now GPS tracking devices are incorporated in the service, to further enhance the user experience in relation to their surroundings. So, as you are moving around, GPS updates your Mscape media files (all incluve text, audio, video, image) in response to the user location, proximity, and time. The mscape software is available for free download, you can create your own mscape which essentially overlays imaginary images over images based on real life. Social networking is also incorporated in the service, so you can share and interact with other mscapers, so that other Mscapers can download your Mscapes as well.

In their own words
“This is the home of the mscape project. This is the place where you can download, create and share mobile, location-based media. Now that handheld GPS devices are here, the inventors at HP Labs are moving beyond personal navigation: we are expanding the world around us with a simple tool that builds compelling interactive experiences that you control as you move from place to place.
