Before you depart for your daily commute or next road trip, you might listen to the traffic report or check a local website for traffic conditions. With MobileTraffic.tv, you can now access this type of information in real-time, from your mobile device. MobileTraffic.tv claims to be the most comprehensive service available for viewing the traffic camera images from your mobile device. The site brings together over 4,669 traffic cameras across seven countries: the United States, Canada, Australia, China, Luxembourg, Sweden, and the United Kingdon. The service is free, though your mobile service provider may charge you for access. Users can help MobileTraffic.tv to expand by submitting the country and URL to existing travel cameras not yet included on the site.

In their own words
"Finally, your mobile phone has ESP… See traffic conditions way in advance before you get on that highway or take the next exit."
Why it might be a killer
Waiting for the traffic report on the radio or checking a website is not always convenient or possible when you are in your car – where you actually need traffic information in real-time. So an easy way to check traffic from your mobile device could be really useful, and traffic camera images would be fairly easy to glance at and get an idea, even while you are driving.
Some questions
Can you bookmark your ‘favorite’ traffic cameras from your mobile device, to quickly and easily navigate to them, if you are driving or at a stop light? Does MobileTraffic.tv have plans to expand to other metropolitan areas in the near future? Will they be incorporating ad content or charging subscription fees in the future in order to turn a profit?
