If you can snap a picture of it with your phone you can also review it, or so goes the premise of iRevew. Designed for iPhones, this service takes the pain out of mobile browsing. Normally, navigating through sites on your cellular takes a tremendous amount of delicate figure work, and even with that, it’s nearly impossible to get the same results as you would on a PC. With iReew, however, you get all the facts, details, info, etc, without all the extra fluff. As you post reviews and photos from your phone, it’s exceedingly easy to then find and read reviews as they’re all geared for that tiny screen. It’s short, vivid and sweet.

Why was iRevew created?

I was on vacation for 10 days with no laptop and only my phone. Finding local entertainment, restaurants, and or hotspots on my phone seemed to be overwhelming having to search, pinch zoom, and scroll around entire webpages. Eventually, I would find a review of what I was looking for and would then need to pinch zoom and scroll around to read it. iRevew was born...it is the easiest way to post or find reviews with your phone! born!”

This is very simple, but pretty smart idea. It works with the medium, which is important. You don’t get lines and lines of illegible and boring text, as you might with normal review sites. iRevew keeps it matter of fact—a photo, a couple lines of text and that’s all you need. It’s perfect for keeping yourself informed on your iPhone.

This service still severely lacks reviews and the reviews that are on there aren’t even reviews, they’re more like what you’d see on Pownce or Twitter with pictures. Is iRevew even viable as a review site? Will categories be added for easier searching?
