    ReviewMe.com - Paid Posting

    reviewme

Paid posts are a recent, somewhat controversial phenomenon; some readers and bloggers despise them. Who wants to read a sell-out? The thing of the matter is, though, those sponsored posts bring in the cash. Moreover, they are often more apt and relevant than having ads plastered everywhere. Thus we have ReviewMe, a publisher network designed especially for paid review posts. To join, bloggers must first submit their blog for approval which depends on numbers (traffic, subscribers, citations). Once approved, advertisers will purchase reviews from you; mandatory length is 200 words. Reviews will earn you anywhere from $20 to $200 each. Advertisers have several options as far as picking blogs. They can use the newly launched Advertorials which comes with impression and click tracing. Unlike ReviewMe’s regular services, using Advertorials gives the advertiser complete control over the content. Conversely, advertisers can choose to simply purchase a review directly from a targeted blog or create an opportunity for bloggers to review their products.

    In their own words

“Get Buzz and Traffic to your Site! Make money reviewing and promoting products!”

Why it might be a killer

ReviewMe brings advertising to a new level. On the one hand, these paid posts are theoretically less intrusive than banner ads which most people ignore anyways. As bloggers can choose what they want to review, they can pick only the products that they actually like and that their readers would find interesting. Advertisers benefit from targeted reviews.

    Some questions

Most people are bound to skip over these paid posts. They seem to cheapen a blog and risk the blogger’s reputation. They’re also seen as somewhat devious and underhanded.
