Basically they're tapping into the crowdsourcing trend, looking to find new ways of marketing products from the people themselves. Thus, GeniusRocket has corralled together several tools for achieving this happy marriage. The site deals with social networking, collaboration tools, and a marketplace, which gives it more leverage as a means for connecting people. If you're an artist in any medium, GeniusRocket's a good way to start collecting some revenue for the work you've done. You can start posting your portfolio to gain a presence amongst their community thus allowing ad agencies to easily find you. GeniusRocket members can vote and rate works and they can even win cash prizes. The site will also help you find collaborators for projects , as it helps companies find you.

    Why it might be a killer

    This site gives artists a chance to branch out and get paid for their work. It gives them exposure while also benefitting ad companies in need of new talent. Smaller companies will be able to take advantage and afford brand, new, fresh talent.
