    GtalktoVoip.com - Follow-me: Redirect IM Calls

    gtalk2voip

Follow-me is the latest product from Gtalk2voip which redirects calls from voice enabled IM clients like MSN and Google to any phone number in the world. Essentially, with Follow-me you"re no longer tied to your computer or laptop to talk to your IM contacts. To use the service you"l have to register on Gtalk2voip"s main page; next specify the number you want to use (all your calls will be forwarded to this number or SIP URI); calls made to your IM service are directed to your number if you do not answer within 20 seconds. If you"re forwarding calls to SIP there"s no cost, for any other numbers, landline you"ll need to buy credits using either PayPal, credit cards or Webmoney. Credits come in $5, $10, and $50 if you use a credit card. Webmoney credits are offered in denominations of $5, $10 and $20. The service is compatible with Google, Yahoo, and MSN.

    In their own words

"Follow-Me feature is available to all voice capable IM clients (Google Talk, MSN, Yahoo) and let"s you forward incoming SIP calls made to your Instant Messanger client to any phone number in the world or to any SIP phone.

Why it might be a killer

Using Follow-me actually makes calls cheaper because it offers the use of several competiting VoIP service providers. There"s also ranking features so users can rate the performance of one system over another. It"s much less expensive than using actualy POTS services to make long distance phonecalls and you don"t even need to be at a computer with a headset etc.

    Some questions

Are their services really cheaper than going with, say, Skype? How good is the quality of the services?
