GizmoCall allows you to make free calls anywhere right from your web browser. To use it you need to have Macromedia Flash 9 installed on your computer and you"ll need a headset. There are two calling options; you can opt to purchase call out credits or you can use the free calling network. For the latter, however, you"re limited to calling Gizmo Project users, Gtalk users, Nokia n80i wifi phone users, or 1800 numbers. Call out rates are based on countries-- it"s two cents a minute within the States for both landlines and mobile phones; calls to the UK are 21 cents to mobiles and 2 cents to landlines. Gizmocall also provides "Call Me" links: 1) either enter gizmocall.com/18005551212 into your address bar, replacing the number with the number you want to call, or 2) create a personalized "Call Me" link to place in your blog, emails, or website. Free calls are limited to 3 minutes and 10 minutes a day to most landlines, and some mobile phones, otherwise you"ll just have to pay.

The site is a little difficult to figure out; it"s not clear exactly what numbers you need to enter to make a call; also with Skype and other similar services why would anyone use Gizmo?
