In San Francisco but trying to buy a house in Boston? It’s not always feasible to fly back and forth across the country to visit potential new properties in person. For this reason, ZIPVO was created. ZIPVO is a simple web application that allows real estate agents or private sellers to post a video of themselves presenting a home in the exact way they would if they were showing the house to you in person. To use ZIPVO, enter in the name of a city and state, or a zip code. You’ll then be presented with real estate videos from properties in the area you’ve specified. After you watch a video, you’ll be able to save it to your favorites if you’re a site member, and/or contact the seller for more information. In addition to video tours, ZIPCO also offers video blogs, interviews, and testimonials. It’s free to post your own video as well. You can also opt to embed the video on your site (for example, an agent could embed a video tour on his or her agency’s webpage). Alternately or additionally, you can post the provided link to your video on your blog, in forums, or in classified advertisements.

The fact that it is actually being presented by an agent, and isn’t just a 360 slideshow, lends more credibility and depth to the presentation. Better yet, the application lets you upload vides for free.
