YayThread calls itself a community-driven blog forum. It’s in early beta, so there’s still not a lot of content so far, however as yet, it does look like a dapper and cheerful message board. There are bright colored tabs to differentiate each message. Messages are shown in grey blocks which can be expanded to view the entire thread. The number of comments and the last commenter is also displayed on each block. The threads are categorized on the left side into five sections: General, Products, Designs, Meaningless, and Advice. There’s also a search bar below that. YayThread is pretty minimalistic but it’s charming. So far, you need an invite to comment.

YayThread is very low key and minimal on the design scale. For those who like things simple, it’s lovely. There’s not a lot of extra bits and pieces to get lost in. The color scheme is cute, makes things very clear. Given today’s love for the seemingly trivial this could do well.

What exactly is the purpose of this? Will they add an about section or perhaps an FAQ? How will the site draw in more users? How is it funded?
