YawpCo! is in the biz of announcing internet startups. This blog writes up daily reviews and news stories having to due with new internet technologies and startup companies. Their focus is mainly on early stage, self funded/low level angel funded startups. Startups themselves can announce their companies’ offerings, news, and related web stories. Each review consists of a short synopsis which details how the company/service works, business model, and YawpCo’s rating or their 2 cents. There’s a search bar along with a side panel for recent posts. Readers can participate by making comments and giving their own opinions.

This site does a good job of summarizing new startups—how they function, their prospects and other relevant news. Write ups are clear and concise. Over all they’ve done a pretty good job so far.

Do we really need yet another site describing new startups on the web? The market is already chock full of sites about new internet technologies and the like. Yawpco really hasn’t embarked on anything novel or original. How will they differentiate themselves and attract attention?
