Typepad.com - Blogging Service Integrates iPhone

    typepad

You're probably familiar with the blogging platform Typepad (you recognize that iconic speech bubble, don't you?)—it's a popular choice among today's keenest and hippest blogger set. The likes of Seth Godin, Amber MacArthur, and even our favorite cubicle friend Dilbert use Typepad to expound on everything from new technologies to coffee beans and white pants. Typepad's popularity can be attributed to it's ease of use—you don't have to be a tech geek to create an ultra slick lookin' blog; it's got a slough of professionally designed themes, and users can further customize their weblog using their dead simple drag and drop tools and WYSIWYG editor (no HTML skills required). Users can work with any type of media—video, photos, audio, the works. Additionally, for those who prefer to build their own designs, Typepad's got a custom template builder for personalizing fonts, borders, headers, etc. Typepad users also can take advantage of FeedBurner, ping notices, trackbacks, Six Apart Update Stream which automatically notifies Google and Technorati about new content, commenting, and built in spam control. If that's not enough, the service has just been launched for use with the iPhone.

    In their own words

"TypePad is the premier blogging service for professionals, hosting many of the world's most popular blogs and small business websites. TypePad's ease of use enables you to create a blog in minutes."

Why it might be a killer

Typepad is already extremely popular. Even those who don't blog themselves are bound to read blogs hosted by Typepad. It's a blogging institute in the league of Blogger and WordPress. Users will appreciate its flexibility and it's simplicity.

    Some questions

How well does the new iPhone functionality work? What new features does Typepad have planned?
