TheBetaNews is a relatively new news site which features stories about computers, technology, social media, startups, betas, and the like. It’s also got interesting tech related lifestyle pieces such as ‘Show Me Your Desktop’.

This section is, just as it sounds, a window into the desktops of interesting people. This week it’s Larissa Meek from the Miss USA pageant and ‘Average Joe: Hawaii’. Previous weeks’ guests have been Amber Mac and Adam Ostrow from Mashable. TheBetaNews has also got videos and there’s even a search section allowing you to find people/things on various social media sites. There are 8main sections including blogging, linking, social media and web 2.0 among others. You can sign up for email newsletters and RSS feeds too.

This Danish born blog has some interesting tidbits. The stories aren’t framed in boring techspeak—they are accessible and conversational. The blog has an easy to navigate design, it’s neither too text or photo heavy. It also has good stories—worth a read if you’re into tech.
