FiscalZen.com - Financial Advice and Deals Too

    fiscalzen

As the economy heads South, now definitely seems the time to strap down your finances and buckle down with some FiscalZen. The aptly timed blog doles out bits of economic wisdom in easily understood terms. Articles describe recent goings-on in the stock market, suggesting which stocks would be good investments. There are also tidbits of useful savings advice. It doesn’t stop there, either. FiscalZen also compiles top discounts from across the web (e.g. Amazon’s Diamond Solitaire Ring sale, or 40% off Newport News items). It’s a pedestrian mix that works for the homemaker and the amateur investor. As with most blogs, FiscalZen comes equipped with a search bar, archives, RSS feeds, and a commenting system.

    In their own words

“Fiscal Zen provides tips and insight on investing, personal finance and
smart spending to help individuals improve their financial situation.
You won't find us touting penny stocks, get-rich-quick or multi-level
marketing schemes here. Instead, we firmly believe that the best
opportunity for financial success is in living within one's means and
investing early and often. And you will find that philosophy
reflected in the articles we publish. In addition, we find
and post the best deals available in order to help our readers save
    money.”

Why it might be a killer

FiscalZen provides an interesting grab bag of savings and investment information. As it is written for a non-expert audience, it could do well depending on frequency and topics of posts which aren’t many in this early stage.

    Some questions

Will this mix of deals and investment advice work? What type of financial credentials does the blog’s author have? How often will the site be updated?
