ClockLink.com - Free Flash Clocks for Your Webpage

    clocklink

ClockLink.com is a site that provides free flash clocks that you can easily add to your online profile, blog, or any other web page that allows HTML. Browsing through the Clock Gallery, you can choose between well over 100 clock styles and add any to your page, simply by copying and pasting the HTML code provided. There are clock designs categorized under sports, animals, count down & count up clocks, holidays, etc. You can set the clock to display any time zone you want, and there is also a World Clock that shows the local time in each time zone as you drag your mouse across the map. ClockLink makes money by embedding ads, which appear when hovering the mouse over a clock. Clicking on a clock leads you to that advertiser’s site (or some clocks lead the clicker back to ClockLink.com). Even the regular clock designs have ads embedded, but companies can also choose to create a clock from their logo or a custom design. A standard logo clock costs $100+, and a custom clock may cost $500 and up, depending on its complexity. By creating an attractive clock design, advertisers increase the likelihood that users will choose their clock to place on a profile or blog.

    In their own words

“ClockLink provides fashionable clocks that you can easily embed in your web page. All you need to do is simply paste the tag on your web page. Our clock will display the city name of your choice if you choose. You can also choose a time zone for your clock so it will show the correct time. Decorate your website with our clocks!”

Why it might be a killer

The clocks are free, easy to add, and there’s a wide variety of visually-pleasing designs. For a business, these clocks could be a handy way to let your worldwide customers know what your local time and whether or not your office is open. Similarly, anyone with friends spread across different time zones could appreciate this easy way to tell friends what time it is for you - or you could even add and label different clocks to remind you of the local time for your friends and loved ones far away.

    Some questions

Will users be annoyed or dissuaded by the ads embedded in the clocks? Will advertisers be willing to pay what could be upwards of $500 for a custom-designed clock?
